Text Banking
Looking for an easy way to view balances and transaction history? Sign up for Text Banking.
Internet access is not required to use text banking. Message and data rates may apply.
To sign up:
- To sign up, visit nssb.bank from your computer.
- Log in to Online Banking, click Options, click Mobile Settings, click Text Mobile Settings.
- Fill out your information.
- Choose a Mobile Short Name for each account that you enroll for Text Banking. For example, your savings could be SAV, your car loan could be CARLOAN.
- Click Submit.
- You will receive a text message asking you to confirm your enrollment.
- Text YES to the number 89549 to confirm.
To enroll for Mobile Banking or Text Banking, you must have an Online Banking User ID and password. To enroll for Online Banking, stop by any branch or visit nssb.bank and click the "Sign Up" button underneath Online Banking in the top right corner of the page.

Q. How do I enroll in mobile banking text?
A. Log in to Online Banking, select Options > Mobile Settings > Text Mobile Banking. Enter mobile phone number, select mobile provider, and select accounts to access via text. Then create mobile short names for each selected account and click Submit.
Example: Texting “Bal” returns the balance of all accounts. Texting “Bal Vacay” returns only the balance of the account with “Vacay” as the mobile short name.
Q. How do I find the validation my enrollment for Text Banking?
A. Once you have enrolled for Text Banking you will receive a text message asking you to confirm your enrollment by texting YES to the number 89549.

- Bal = All account balances
- Bal (Acct Short Name) = Single account balance
- Hist = All accounts recent activity
- Hist (Acct Short Name) = Single account activity
- Help = Commands
- Stop = Will un‐enroll you for text banking

A. Secure information is not sent via text message.

A. Un‐enrollment can be accomplished one of two ways. You can log in to Online Banking and unselect the enrollment option or you can text “stop” to 89549.
