To open an account or apply for a loan, you will be asked to visit an NSSB branch. You will need to bring an unexpired government ID, such as a driver’s license, and your social security card or number. We will notify you if there is other documentation that we need you to provide us to complete your request.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. Identity verification also helps to protect you and us from identity fraud.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents which will be noted and such notations will be retained.
